This fall I am thrilled to be joining OneBeat as a fellow in their 2017 residency program. In a few weeks I will fly out to Sisters, OR to join up with 24 musicians and producers from 17 different countries. We will spend 5 weeks writing music together, creating work focused on social and cultural engagement, and touring it through ID, WY and CO. I feel honored to have been chosen as one of the five Americans in the fellowship and can't wait to share the work we make together!

A big huge thank you to the Americana Music Association for nominating me in this year's Instrumentalist Of the Year category! The news truly came as quite an honor and surprise. 

The winners of each category will be announced during the Americana Honors and Awards show on September 13, 2017, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN.

I'll be teaching another round of online workshop classes coming up this February. This course will be focused on intermediate players, with the classes honing in on improvisation, ear training, and understanding the guitar fretboard. We'll be doing some technique work as well as writing throughout the three weeks. Only nine "chairs" are available, so reserve a spot early before they fill up!  The workshop can also be given as a gift.
